“…Stenus is the larger of the two genera, with more than 3100 species worldwide, while Dianous has 262 known species (Puthz, 2016, 2021). In Turkey, only two species ( D. coerulescens and D. ponticus ) belonging to the genus Dianous were identified and three subspecies ( D. coerulescens anatolicus, D. coerulescens elegans and D. coerulescens korgei ) of one of these species were given (Korge, 1964, 1971; Fagel, 1963; Puthz, 1979, 1981, 2002; Turan and Sert, 2019, 2021).
