Contribution of the Scientific School of Academician M.G. Voronkov to the Development of the Chemistry of Biologically Active Atranes (Protatranes and Hydrometallatranes) (A Review)

Abstract: The main results of the many years’ studies of the scientific school of Academician Mikhail G. Voronkov in the field of two subgroups of the atrane family (protatranes and hydrometallatranes) as well as the results of research in continuation of the studies initiated by Academician M. G. Voronkov have been summarized and presented. Long-term studies of atranes under the leadership of M. G. Voronkov have led to the discovery of their unique biological activity and the creation of a series of unique original dru… Show more

“…The ADME analysis was applied to evaluate the drug-likeness properties of new ILs based on BEA salts 1 – 16 . For comparison, two biologically active compounds trekrezan and chlorcrezacin [ 38 , 39 , 40 , 41 , 42 , 43 ], which are TEA 2-methylphenoxyacetate 2-methyl-4-chlorophenoxyacetate, respectively, were used. In silico, some ADME physicochemical properties were predicted and presented in Table 5 .…”

“…[8] This substance had practical and commercial applications from its early development and was mostly used to balance the pH levels in cosmetics, cleaning, and hygiene products. [2,9] Later, TEA gained significant attention as a ligand in coordination chemistry, proving influential to the advancement of organosilicon chemistry. [10] In the latter half of the 20th century, extensive research was conducted on atrane complexes, with particular recognition of the contributions made by Voronkov and Verkade's groups by the scientific community.…”
