Abstract

Contraceptive choice in young people (review of literature and world guidlines)Nearly 21 million adolescent pregnancies are resisted every year according to the World Health Organization date and 12 millions of them are terminated in labor. Most of this adolescences does not have education and low income then. Examination and contraception counseling should be done after the agreement of parents but the questions about adolescent sexual behavior and contraception should always be asked confidentially. There is no guidelines about adolescents contraception in Russia. Long acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs) should be recommended as 1 st line drugs because their high level of privacy, effectiveness and safety. Combined hormonal contraceptives (CHCs) can be used in the case of menstrual pain, endometriosis, acne and hirsutism but have some contraindications.
