<p>Azo dye is a synthetic aromatic dye which are direct dye frequently used in textile industry to colour fibres. It also contributes to the damage of the environment. This study examines the adsorption biochar made from Annona reticulata to remove azo dye from textile wastewater. To improve the adsorption capacity, biochar valorized by chitosan molecules, Investigations were conducted on the use of chitosan-based materials that are acid-resistant for azo dye adsorption. In the batch experiment, basic operating parameters such as initial Azo dye concentrations, pH, contact time and bed height were assessed. The percentage removal efficiency for Azo dye was recorded as 67.18%, 75.88% and 94.37% for three dissimilar sized columns that were 6cm, 8cm, and 10cm. The UV–visible absorption spectroscopy was used to quantify the decolorization of dyes. The changed surface properties of the adsorbent produced from Annona reticulata were characterized by using SEM, XRD, and FTIR. The effectiveness of the column's adsorption was calculated mathematically by Yoon-Nelson, Thomas, and Adams-Bohart models. The model that best represents equilibrium isotherm data by adsorption had R2 values of 94.63, 86.67 and 96.35 respectively.</p>

<p>Tamarindus indica shell biochar is employed as an alternate adsorbent precursor for the removal of heavy metal ions from aqueous solutions. It investigated the Tamarindus indica shell biochar's capacity to absorb chromium (Cr), copper (Cu), and Lead (Pb). This study showed the extensive explored how biosorption experimental limitations counting primary metal attentiveness, adsorbent dosage, temperature, and contact time affect the process. The complete analysis of the Tamarindus indica shell's adsorption capability with respect to chromium, copper, and nickel removal was conducted using a batch adsorption procedure. Determining the amount of heavy metal removal in the aqueous solution proceeded by Gas Chromatography (GC). The experimental data analyzed using the Yoon Nelson and Thomson models to regulate the equilibrium isotherms. The optimal parameters for the overall adsorption model were determined by using ANOVA. Investigate the adsorbent's surface area to determine the presence of heavy metal presents using SEM, XRD, and FTIR techniques. Each researched heavy metal's adsorption capability is listed below: Cr = 6.07 mg/L, Cu = 5.53 mg/L and Pb = 5.497mg/L with a removal percentage of 64%, 92% and 78%, respectively. The results showed that biochar generated from Tamarindus indica shells is an effective adsorbent for removing copper from aqueous solutions but not a viable biosorbent for removing chromium. Also, the regenerated column's adsorption capability was examined. The outcomes of the research demonstrated that bio-char, which produced from Tamarindus indica shell can be employed as an efficient and reasonably priced adsorbent to remove heavy metal ions from aqueous solutions.</p>

The feasibility and efficacy of continuous up flow filter packed with Shelled Moringa Oleifera Seed (SMOS) powder for the evacuation of As(V) from polluted water was explored by varying SMOS dose, initial As(V) intensity, and adsorbate flow rate. The finding from fixed column operations depicted that highest As(V) uptake, breakthrough, and saturation time improved with rise in SMOS dosage and with decline in volumetric flow rate. The highest As (V) uptake attained was 55.41 μg g-1 at 100 μg L-1 As(V) intensity, 6 g of SMOS, and flow rate of 2 mL min-1. The breakthrough curves of As(V) removal were modeled by Thomas model and results depicted that the Thomas model delivers excellent similarity with experimental data. From practical and economic view, the filter packed with SMOS might be exceptionally employed as a sustainable and cost-effective strategy for the evacuation of As(V) in polluted water for rural household applications.
