Context-Aware Pervasive Service Composition

Abstract: Incorporating service composition and pervasive computing into managing user's complex everyday activities envisions the paradigm of Pervasive Service Composition for everyday life. Context-Aware Pervasive Service Composition (CAPSC) enables a pervasive system to provide a user with service compositions that are relevant to the user's context. Moreover, CAPSC enables composition applications that are flexible and adaptive to changes. To identify the nature of CAPSC and approach it, this paper investigates CAPS… Show more

“…Context is any information characterizing the situation of a task session, or interaction between a user and his/her service world. Context is categorized into five aspects, namely user context, peer context, process context, physical context, and service context [13] [14]. A typical context-aware middleware has components of context sensing, context modeling, and context reasoning.…”

“…These technologies are highlighted by the Internet of Things (IoT) [2], big data [3], cloud computing [4], 3D printing [5], Blockchain [6], and new generation artificial intelligence (NGAI) [7], etc. With the rapid development of mobile terminals, sensor networks [8], service-oriented computing [9], vehicle network [10], traditional AI is being overtaken by new generation artificial intelligence, which takes on features of big data intelligence, group intelligence, hybrid human-computer intelligence, cross-media reasoning, etc.…”

“…Since a smart phone is one of the most useful and popular personal belongings, a smart phone is the most suitable device on which a context aware service is installed. Context aware systems try to recognize who, where, when, and why the user is in order to provide important information to the user [1].…”
