Abstract:Preterm birth (PTB) continues to be the leading cause of perinatal morbidity and mortality globally. 1 Interventions such as the use of vaginal progesterone, insertion of a cervical cerclage, or a vaginal pessary are practiced widely to attempt to reduce PTB.
