Abstract:The knowledge of child sexual abuse (CSA)-the recognition of its prevalence and the reality of its impact-has been lost and found in repeated cycles within society and perhaps particularly within the field of mental health. A recent compendium published by the Office for National Statistics (ONS, 2019) provides an estimate of the prevalence of CSA.
