“…Other thioureas, such as dimethylthiourea (DMTU), ethylenethiourea (ETU), ethylbutylthiourea (EBTU) and trimethylthiourea (TMTU), have also caused allergic contact dermatitis (1). DBTU has previously been reported as causing nonoccupational allergic contact dermatitis from divers' footgear (3), swimming goggles (4), a rubber elastic knee guard (5), and occupational allergic contact dermatitis from protective plastic glasses (5), and the thermocoating layer of phonecards (6). Here, we report 2 cases of airborne allergic contact dermatitis from a DBTU paint and glue remover that has previously been reported as a sensitizer (7).…”
