“…During the last few years, researchers have developed many semiconductors based on oxides [20][21][22][23], hydroxides [24,25], tungstates [26][27][28], molybdates [29] and phosphates [30][31][32][33][34][35][36][37][38] for the decontamination of wastewater. A good photocatalyst should be simple to prepare, nontoxic, cheap and highly effective in utilizing light for the illumination of organic pollutants [39].…”

“…It has shown a good performance in photoelectrochemical applications such as water splitting and oxidation of organic pollutants. BiPO 4 has three main crystal structures: two monoclinic phases (M 1 , space group: P2 1 /n and M 2 , space group: P2 1 /m) and one hexagonal phase (H, space group: P3 1 21). Among them, HBIP, with a band gap of 4.6 eV, shows the lowest photocatalytic activity, while M 2 and M 1 , with band gaps of 4.2 eV and 3.8 eV, respectively, possess higher photocatalytic activity [40].…”

“…Figure shows the Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectra of the 18 EZ-160-5 sample. The absorption bands near 1619 cm –1 could be attributed to Zn–O bending vibration absorption peak . The bands could show the existence of ZnO frameworks in prepared materials.…”

“…Zinc oxide has direct wide band gap (3.37 eV) with a large exciton binding energy (60 meV), which often is used as a host matrix to synthesize composites. Zinc oxide can maintain its physical and chemical properties at high temperatures, and it can remain stable as a host matrix under various environments. ZnO belongs to n-type semiconductors whose electrons on the valence band can accept energy transitions from ultraviolet light, which has a good absorption to ultraviolet light and can promote the fluorescent characteristics . Zinc oxide has different crystal structures, the hexagonal wurtzite structure is the commonest, and it is possible to synthesize ZnO particles with different morphologies by changing of synthesis methods, mineralizers, and so forth. , …”

“…Также недостаточно рассмотрена проблема взаимодействия центров рекомбинационной люминесценции КТ и ионов Eu 3+ , встроенных в КТ. Предполагается, например, перенос электронного возбуждения от центров рекомбинации кристаллов ZnO к ионам Eu 3+ [23].…”
