Constraint Programming and Multi-Agent System Mixing Approach for Agricultural Decision Support System

Abstract: The objective of this paper is to present the grand schemes of a model to be used in an agricultural Decision support System. We start by explaining and justifying the need for a hybrid system that uses both Multi-Agent System and Constraint Programming paradigms. Then we show our approach for Constraint Programming and Multi-Agent System mixing based on controller agent concept. Also, we present some concrete constraints and agents to be used in an application based on our proposed approach for modeling the p… Show more

“…This paper extends and combines our earlier work on joint application of MAS and DCSP paradigms [33,34]. We describe major theoretic, methodological and software engineering principles of composition of constraints and agents in the framework of one multi-agent system, as well as application of our approach for modelling of particular logistic problem.…”

“…Other methods are proposed in the DCSP domain in order to deal with non-binary constraints. I. Brito [21,33,34] has proposed organizing agents involved in a non-binary dynamically in order to form a proper propose-validate sequence. Agents then follow that sequence to find a solution for that constraint.…”

“…During the database transaction over multi database management systems, problems were addressed while dealing in the concurrency control and recovery, most of these problems occurred in the distributed databases [3]. However, the main problems can be simply classified into the following:…”
