Constraint Integration and Violation Handling for BPEL Processes

Abstract: Autonomic, i.e. dynamic and fault-tolerant Web service composition is a requirement resulting from recent developments such as on-demand services. In the context of planning-based service composition, multiagent planning and dynamic error handling are still unresolved problems. Recently, business rule and constraint management has been looked at for enterprise SOA to add business flexibility. This paper proposes a constraint integration and violation handling technique for dynamic service composition. Higher d… Show more

“…Furthermore, Cao et al [21] introduce an approach to handling exceptions based on mobile agent in distributed Workflow Management System. When dealing with exceptions in service-based business processes, Wang et al [22] research the issue of dynamic and fault tolerance Web services composition based on WS-BPEL fault handling mechanism and development a constraint integration and violation handling technique. Friedirich et al [23] describe a modelbased approach to handle exceptions in service-based processes and to repair the faulty activities based on selfhealing and planning techniques.…”

“…In general, response time, reliability, cost and security have also been considered. [18] has studied an automated and dynamic composition along with flexibility. It has also discussed dynamic error management and has spoken of profession regulations to offer more flexibility for service oriented architecture.…”
