Abstract:Accurately assessing the hot workability and flow behavior is crucial in the preparation of high‐performance wrought Mg–rare earth (RE) alloys. The hot deformation behaviors and workability of Mg–4.83Gd–2.36Nd–0.21Zr alloy are examined via Gleeble 3500 thermosimulation tests across a range of deformation temperatures from 350 °C to 450 °C and strain rates ranging from 0.001 to 1 s−1. The experimental results reveal that the flow stress of the experimental alloy decreases as the temperature increases and the st… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
