Consortium Blockchain Based Data Aggregation and Regulation Mechanism for Smart Grid

Abstract: Flexible regulation of smart grid is vital for grid operation. This paper proposes a smart grid data aggregation and regulation mechanism based on consortium blockchain, and its signcryption algorithm can be applied to multidimensional data acquisition and multiple receivers in the consortium blockchain. In the process of regulation, the control center, the grid operator, and the equipment supplier receive fixed-height blocks from the blockchain and obtain plaintext from the decryption. Each receiver analyzes … Show more

“…In addition, Grid-Monitoring adopts three cryptographic primitives, including, consumer private key, consumer public key, and authenticator contract key. Fan and Zhang [15] proposed a data aggregation and regulation mechanism for the smart grid. Based on a consortium blockchain and the hybrid signcryption scheme, the proposed mechanism can be applied to multidimensional data acquisition and multiple receivers.…”

“…23 So, it is essential to provide security to the smart grid. Fan et al 24 and Gai et al 25 propose the rainbow chain verification method of blockchain for overcoming the attacks on the smart grid and improve the potency of security in energy exchange information. Pop et al 26 propose decentralized technology for evaluating the demand response of energy in smart grid by using different household energy data set.…”

“…A practical demonstration of the proposed scheme using the blockchain mechanism was performed as follows [7] with the parameters listed in Table 3. Three different cases were considered in the simulations, which were conducted in the Windows 10, 64-bit OS installed on an Intel Core i5-8250U with a 1.60-1.80 GHz processor and 8 GB RAM.…”
