Abstract:In the current article, a SPH model based on artificial viscosity is utilized to simulate transom stern flow. In this context, Navier-Stokes equations are discretized in SPH formulation. Furthermore, predictor-corrector algorithm is implemented to solve the discretized equation. Due to density fluctuations, a density filter approach is also included. Finally, a rectangular body is considered as transom and is towed by a constant velocity. Moreover, simulations are performed at two different draft based Froude … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
