Consequences of μτ reflection symmetry at DUNE

Abstract: We consider minimal type-I seesaw framework to realize µ−τ reflection symmetry in the low-energy neutrino mass matrix, M ν . Considering DUNE experiment, we scrutinize its potential to measure the precision of 2-3 mixing angle, θ 23 and the Dirac CP-phase, δ for the given symmetry. Later, we examine the precision of these two parameters considering NuFit-3.2 data as one of the important true points. To study the low-energy phenomenology, we further discuss various breaking patterns of such an exact symmetry. M… Show more

“…There have already been symmetry-based studies in the context of the DUNE experiment performed, for example, in Refs. [9][10][11][12][13]. In particular, we note that popular flavor symmetry frameworks with µ − τ symmetry, such as those in [14][15][16][17] (see Ref.…”

“…2, can be expressed as a product of four rotation matrices, where all the mixing angles are maximal. Expanded form of V 0 can be written as * newton@fisica.unam.mx 1 The importance of such symmetry for upcoming long baseline experiment DUNE has been studied in [13] 2 The original idea was to construct neutrino mixing pattern with only two small integers 1 and 2 together with their square roots and the imaginary number i.…”

“…Examples of this procedure have already been given in [30,31]. The prospects for probing various neutrino mixing scenarios in present and future oscillation experiments have been discussed extensively in the literature [4,19,[32][33][34][35][36][37][38].…”
