Abstract: Gaucher disease (GD) is a progressive lysosomal storage disease that can lead to life-threatening complications. Anecdotal experiences of patients and physicians suggest that symptoms and signs of the disease may go undiagnosed for many years, resulting in severe yet preventable complications.
