Congenital megaprepuce: A 12-year experience (52 cases) of this specific form of buried penis

A single surgeon’s experience of 65 cases of penoplasty for congenital megaprepuce, with special reference to mid- to long-term follow-up

“…IP with normal phallic size was further divided into four groups: (1) trapped penis as a consequence of postcircumcision cicatrix, (2) buried penis associated with congenital megaprepuce (CMP), (3) concealed penis associated with an excessive supra-pubic fat pad and poor fusion of shaft skin, and (4) webbed penis secondary to penoscrotal fusion. Recently, in 2013, Rod et al [4] proposed a system using BP rather than IP with three types of BP; (1) BP with CMP, (2) BP without CMP, and (3) BP secondary to obesity. Elder [5] used IP instead of BP and classified IP as: (1) hidden penis, (2) hidden penis secondary to bilateral large hydroceles, (3) webbed penis, and (4) CMP.…”
