Confronting the Negative Impact of Cigarette Smoking on Cancer Surgery

Abstract: Smoking is a common health risk behavior that has substantial effects on perioperative risk and postoperative surgical outcomes. Current smoking is clearly linked to an increased risk of perioperative cardiovascular, pulmonary and wound healing complications.
