Configuração de um programa de divulgação científica para educação ambiental: contribuições da Ciência da Informação.

Abstract

Scientific dissemination, in parallel with scientific activity, is a central issue in the country's socio-economic and cultural development process. Inadequate dissemination strategies compromise not only the flow of communication between researchers and potential users of scientific information, but, mainly, society, since they contribute to the multiplication of "fake news" and hinder the processes of appropriation and consequent incorporation of new knowledge by citizens. The study is based on the hypothesis that Information Science can contribute to a better adaptation of scientific dissemination programs to the different publics for whom they are intended, in order to provide citizens with access to adequate scientific information, from the point of view of form and content, and considering more appropriate disclosure and communication channels. This is an exploratory research based on a theoretical framework on scientific dissemination and complemented by analysis of institutional programs for scientific dissemination on the environment. Results show the challenges to be overcome in the development of scientific dissemination programs for the public, considering channels, strategies, contents and language in order to facilitate the appropriation of environmental information and enable greater interaction between the sources and the potential public.
