“…Methods of RT vary – ranging from verbal, physical and pharmacological interventions (Brophy, Roper, Hamilton, Tellez, & McSherry, 2016; National Collaborating Centre for Mental Health, 2015; Ryan & Bowers, 2005) and what actually happens in front-line care varies (Cannon, Sprivulis, & McCarthy, 2001; Cooper, Browne, McClean, & King, 1983; Haw, Stubbs, & Gibbon, 2013; Huf et al, 2002; Lepping, 2013; Moritz, Jenvrin, Canivet, & Gerault, 2004; Pilowsky, Ring, Shine, Battersby, & Lader, 1992;Paton et al, 2019) and may even differ from what the local clinicians recommend (Bervoets et al, 2015; Binder & McNiel, 1999; Cunnane, 1994; Reid & Hughson, 2003).
