“…Moreover, presence of silica may create more free volume in the composite which facilitates easy segmental motion of PEO chain at higher temperature and thus, increasing trend of conductivity with temperature. This is because rise in temperature provide more free volume in NCPEs that helps in easy flow of ions within NCPEs that finally leads to higher ionic conductivity ,. Thus, the Arrhenius behavior of conductivity below T m may be attributed to the hindered mobility of amorphous PEO segments confined within the crystalline regions, whereas VTF behavior above T m suggest the melting of crystalline phase of PEO resulting in higher segmental mobility.…”
