“…This suggests that the incorporation of Ni 2+ ions in the CFO lattice will create distortion in the lattice, which was due to the difference in the ionic radii of Ni 2+ and Co 2+ . 38,39 This distortion caused an increase in the bond length of Y-O and Fe-O, as was found from the results of the Rietvield refinement, and this further contributed toward the increased value of the atomic polarizability.
