“…For certain advantages including ease of fabrication, thermal and chemical stability and insolubility in water, compatibility with flexible substrates and low-cost production processing, thin Pc films are commonly used in building electronic and optoelectronic devices such as organic solar cells [9,10], organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) [11][12][13], field-effect transistors [14], optical recording [15], photodynamic therapy, non-linear optics [16], catalysis [17] and gas sensors [18]. It is known that the improvement of structural properties and photoconversion performance of PC-based devices rely mainly on understanding and controlling charge injection and charge transport processes [19][20][21].…”

“…The η sp /C values against polymer concentration graphs were plotted and extrapolated to zero concentration to find out the intrinsic viscosities. The viscosities of all polymeric phthalocyanine (4)(5)(6)(7)(8) showed an almost linear reduction with increasing solvent concentrations. This observation may be explained by the decomposition of polymers and weakly protonation of the meso nitrogen atoms in the core of each phthalocyanine unit.…”

“…PT functionalized with SnPc was synthesized by the procedure reported elsewhere [18,19], wherein a proportionate quantity of thiophene monomer was treated with SnPc (5% by weight) in nitrobenzene solvent and then oxidative polymerization was carried out at low temperature (0-5 1C). The SnPc-PT formed in this way was isolated through methanol solvent and further purified by successive treatment with organic solvents.…”
