Conductance method study on the swelling kinetics of the superabsorbent

“…According to the results of the single resin experiment (Table I), two types of MAR mixed bed were investigated and selected by the same way, and the results are shown in Table II (The adsorption/desorption results of the single MAR are also provided to facilitate comparing.). It could be found that the adsorption rate increased with a different degree as LZ-49, LZ-54, LZ-56, LZ-62, LZ-66 and LZ-67 were mixed, and the mixed bed of LZ-54 + LZ-67, LZ-54 + LZ-72, LZ-67 + LZ-72, LZ-56 + LZ-64 and LZ-66 + LZ-56 displayed a better adsorption rate, but the desorption rate of LZ-56 + LZ-64, LZ-54 + LZ-72, LZ-66 + LZ-56 was lower, so LZ-54 + LZ-67 and LZ-67 + LZ-72 should be considered as the main stem, and other MARs as the branch for the next experiment, as reported in our prior report (Lou et al , 2011, 2012; Yang and Song, 2012; Yu et al , 2012; Chen et al , 2007, 2010, 2012, 2013). However, considering the efficiency of the work, only LZ-54 + LZ-67 was chosen as the stem for further research, according to our experience in other related works (Yang and Song, 2012).…”
