CONDITIONS FOR HOLDING AND PROPAGATING CRAWFISH BROOD STOCK (Procambarus clarkii)

Abstract: Commercial producers of the red swamp crawfish (Procambarus clarkii) require a source of stock other than from the wild in order to supplement natural pond production, extend the growing season, and improve genetic characteristics. Thus, consideration is given to systems for holding and propagating brood stock.
