Abstract:This paper represents a practical methodology for monitoring the wear in the displacement elements in hydrostatic pumps. The technique is based on appropriate signal processing of the output pressure wave which reflects the geometrical changes in the internal parts. The geometry deviates in case of wear and the degree of deviation can be spatially analyzed to gain an indicator to the wear progress. The method is effective and computationally efficient in comparison to other algorithms, for ex. wavelet transfor… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
