“…By using finite element analysis (FEA), Huang [10] investigated the effects of important parameters which are used to determine sectional capacities of CFDST stub columns. In the other hand, many researchers have investigated the CFDST subjected to only pure bending [11][12][13][14][15], however, comprehensive studies in ultimate bending moment of CFDST, especially with a full scale CFDST, have not been reported so far.…”

“…Tao and Han [9] observed that CFDST beams have shown similar behaviour as conventional concrete-filled steel tube (CFDT) through testing three rectangular-to-rectangular beams. Uenaka et al [10] carried out 12 four-point bending tests and investigated the confinement effect in the compression and tension regions of the CFDST members. The behaviour of CFDST deep beams was also examined through three-point bending tests conducted by Uenaka and kitoh [11], and the results showed the failure modes were controlled by the inner-to-outer tube diameter ratio.…”

“…First, centric compressive loading test on CC-CFDST was carried out and design equations have been proposed [18]. Second, symmetric four-point loading test on CC-CFDST beams under pure bending moment was performed [19]. Thirdly, symmetric three-point loading test under bending and shear was carried out [20].…”
