Conceptualizing Recursive Feedback in Digital Learning Spaces

Abstract

Feedback is one of the seven affordances of the new learning theory developed by Cope and Kalantzis, and is significant to any learning environment, even more specifically in online learning environments. In the past, feedback was time-consuming, difficult to do in an anonymous manner, and required facilitation by the instructor. Recent innovations and advancements in technology make implementing a feedback process within a community of learners more possible and easier to accomplish. These advancements allow for significant gains to be experienced by learners engaged in feedback processes.
