Stigma remains a significant problem globally, creating barriers to services for individuals in need, regardless of access to services. The stigma of COVID-19 primarily happened because it is a new disease with several unknowns, and these unknowns generate fear. This study aimed to conduct a psychometric development and evaluate the Public COVID-19 Stigma Scale that follows the Indonesian community’s cultural background. This study used research and development design to measure the COVID-19 stigma through six steps that include seven dimensions and is culturally sensitive, starting from a literature review through to psychometric evaluation. This study was community based and was conducted in 26 regions in the Sumedang Regency. The research and development step ran from July 2021 to November 2022, with a total of 1,686 respondents. The results showed that the social stigma scale for COVID-19 consisted of 11 valid and reliable items that were separated into seven dimensions: social distancing (1 item), traditional prejudice (7 items), exclusionary sentiments (2 items), negative affect (2 items), treatment carryover (1 item), disclosure carryover (2 items), and perception of dangerousness (1 item). Further research needs to be conducted to examine the level of stigma and determine interventions to overcome the social stigma around COVID-19 in the community.

Nursing higher education is an institution that plays an important role in producing quality nurses, able to compete in the era of Society 5.0. Students need to be given training in educational laboratories. Nursing centers are integrated management in research, education, and nursing practice which are a place to produce competent nurses, although their existence can still be counted on. This study aims to determine the implementation of orphanages in improving the quality of higher education in nursing in the Society 5.0 era. This study used a Systematic Literature Review of undergraduate data sources Pubmed, ScienceDirect, and Google, PICO search strategies, and full articles in pdf. The search results obtained 14586 articles from 2012 -2022, after reviewing the titles and abstracts, 60 articles were selected. Selected articles are assessed for feasibility, categorized, and adapted to the research theme. 24 articles were used for research and included in the PRISMA flowchart. Nursing Higher Education must carry out a transformation to improve the quality of service. The nursing center is a facility for learning, research, and student practice on evidence-based practices. Students have the necessary competencies to work effectively and efficiently, confidently, and use technology. Improving the quality of education is highly dependent on the learning process, operational management, and information systems. Virtual reality is a technological innovation used for student practice. Accreditation is carried out to improve the quality of education. Government and organizational support are needed to monitor and assess the application of professional standards and ethics.

AimTo develop a conceptual framework for nurses' protocol‐based care decision‐making.DesignMiles & Huberman's bottom‐up approach to developing conceptual frameworks was followed, using data collected from a multiple embedded case study examining protocol‐based decision‐making by nurses in three hospital wards within a university hospital in northern Spain.MethodsThe qualitative data from the case study, obtained through documentary analysis, observations, and interviews, underwent a secondary analysis consisting of four steps: data reduction, data display, comparison, and drawing conclusions.ResultsThe framework for protocol‐based care decision‐making comprises four components: (1) protocol‐based care, as a balance between standardisation and individualised care, (2) the process, (3) the context, and (4) the elements of protocol‐based care decision‐making. These components and their relationship as a context‐dependent, linear, variable and multifactorial process, directly influenced by the perception of risk, are described and illustrated.ConclusionsThis study provides a rigorous bottom‐up framework for nurses' protocol‐based care decision‐making. The framework could be a valuable resource for managers, clinical nurses, educators, and researchers to guide and evaluate nurses' decision‐making, leading to improved care quality and reduced variability in clinical practice. Furthermore, the framework lays a foundation for further research and practical applications.ImpactThis study addressed the problem of understanding nurses' protocol‐based care decision‐making and the need for a specific conceptual framework. The main findings of the study contribute to the development of a rigorous bottom‐up framework comprising four components of protocol‐based care decision‐making.
