A vacuum magnetic field from a superconducting coil set for a single cell minimum B fusion-fission mirror machine reactor is computed. The magnetic field is first optimized for MHD flute stability, ellipticity and field smoothness in a long-thin approximation. Recirculation regions and magnetic expanders are added to the mirror machine without an optimizing procedure. The optimized field is thereafter reproduced by a set of circular and quadrupolar coils. The coils are modelled using filamentary line current distributions. Basic scaling assumptions are implemented for the coil design, with a maximum allowed current density of 1.5 kA/cm 2 . The coils are optimized using a local optimization method and the resulting field is checked for MHD flute stability and maximum ellipticity.

Обсуждается проблема унификации подходов к выбору параметров токамаков, основанной на общепринятых принципах работы современных токамаков и фактически используемой как при моделировании процессов в горячем плазменном шнуре, так и в расчётно-проектных работах по созданию новых экспериментальных установок. Приведён краткий обзор целей и физико-технических параметров токамаков, рассматриваемых в качестве основы национальных программ УТС. Unification of approaches to the choice of tokamak parameters, based on general principles of tokamak operation and actually used under modeling of processes in the hot plasma column and in calculations/designing of new experimental facilities, is discussed. A concise review of goals and physics-engineering tokamak parameters considered as the basis for national programmes in controlled thermonuclear fusion is given. ВВЕДЕНИЕПроект ИТЭР -первого международного экспериментального реактора-токамака -перешёл в стадию сооружения. В связи с этим становится актуальным обсуждение плана дальнейших термоядер-ных исследований на токамаках. Следующим важнейшим этапом этих исследований должно стать соз-дание прототипа термоядерной установки для промышленного производства электроэнергии -демон-страционного термоядерного реактора ДЕМО, а также формулировка задач, которые должны решаться на этих установках.Кроме решения задачи создания энергетики на основе использования «чистых» термоядерных реак-торов, целесообразно ещё раз проанализировать другие возможные способы применения термоядерных установок, что позволит определить круг проблем, от своевременного решения которых будут зависеть скорость и масштабы использования энергии синтеза. При этом всё бóльшую роль должны будут играть технико-экономические исследования в обоснование целесообразности развития таких работ. Прове-дённые ранее исследования [1] показали принципиальную перспективность гибридных термоядерных установок различного назначения, однако их практическая целесообразность должна быть более внима-тельно проанализирована.Целью данной статьи авторы поставили анализ некоторых проблем физического характера, р е-шение которых может стать целью работ на действующих или планируемых к сооружению токама-ках, а также обсуждение возможного места гибридных термоядерных реакторов в системе атомной энергетики.В статье использованы материалы, содержащиеся в докладах 18-й Международной конференции по взаимодействию плазмы с поверхностью PSI'18 (Toледо, Испания, 2008). The fusion-fission (FF) hybrid reactor is a promising energy source that is thought to act as a bridge between the existing fission reactor and the genuine fusion reactor in the future. The burnup calculation system that aims at precise burnup calculations of a subcritical system was developed for the detailed design of the FF hybrid reactor, and the system consists of MCNP, ORIGEN, and postprocess codes. In the present study, the calculation system was substantially modified to improve the calculation accuracy and at the same time the calculation speed as well. The reaction rate estimation can be carried out accurately with the present system that uses track-length (TL) data in the continuous-energy treatment. As for the speed-up of the reaction rate calculation, a new TL data bunching scheme was developed so that only necessary TL data are used as long as the accuracy of the point-wise nuclear data is conserved. With the present system, an example analysis result for our proposed FF hybrid reactor is described, showing that the computation time could really be saved with the same accuracy as before.
