Abstract:Preeclampsia (PE) is a life-threatening pregnancy complication for the mother and fetus. High concentrations of human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG) and soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase-1 (sFLt-1) during pregnancy may have a role in the pathophysiology of PE.
