The system consists of a sub-s)'stem for the three main sections in the steelmaking plant: (1) furnace operating section, (2) ingotmaking and mould handling section, and (3) continuous casting section. All of them are connected to a large central computer. The JJhilosophy undert;'ing the design of the system is " H armonization of computer with man " and is intended to combine the abilities and functions of man and computer.
