Computer manpower in the United States-supply and demand

Abstract: Results of a survey conducted by the author in late 1974 are presented and used to give estimates of Computer Manpower production for 1974-75. These production estimates are compared with needs estimates presented in an earlier paper (SIGCSE Bulletin December, 1975). All postsecondary institutions were surveyed and a 61% response was obtained. Lists of degree programs reported in the Computer Sciences are also presented.
