Computer-based management systems

Abstract: Much has been written regarding the need for students majoring in information systems to take a sequence of courses in communications, both oral and written. Most curricula relegate this important area to electives. This curriculum in Computer-based Management Systems (CMS) addresses this issue in a straightforward manner by incorporating courses in humanities and technical communications as part of the major requirements. The curriculum and facilities supporting the curriculum are discussed.
