Computational Fluid Dynamics Applied to Atherosclerosis Hemodynamics: A Brief Review

Abstract: In recent years, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) has been applied to biological systems for the study of physiological properties and the development of new medical devices. It has also been used for the hemodynamic evaluation of care in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of cardiovascular diseases. This article presents a brief analysis of the application of Computational Fluid Dynamics in hemodynamics in atherosclerosis, with a review of CFD in the study of blood flow, and in the medical area.
