Abstract: The epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) is a receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK), which catalyzes protein phosphorylation reactions by transferring the γ-phosphoryl group from an ATP molecule to the hydroxyl group of tyrosine residues in protein substrates.
