Computational analysis of human and mouse CREB3L4 Protein

Abstract: CREB3L4 is a member of the CREB/ATF transcription factor family, characterized by their regulation of gene expression through the cAMP-responsive element. Previous studies identified this protein in mice and humans. Whereas CREB3L4 in mice (referred to as Tisp40) is found in the testes and functions in spermatogenesis, human CREB3L4 is primarily detected in the prostate and has been implicated in cancer. We conducted computational analyses to compare the structural homology between murine Tisp40α human CREB3L4… Show more

“…Based on the results shown in this study, substituting the previous IPSA method by ADOS for S-RSBT planning will reduce the optimization time cost and potentially reduce the delivery time while maintaining the D 90 values. For the previous study on D-RSBT planning with IPSA, 22 the same observation was held. The ADOS method may also find its applications in other IMBT methods such as dynamic modulated brachytherapy technique, 25 which has a similar mechanism as S-RSBT, given that the delivery plan can be induced from fluence maps.…”

“…As a vehicle to test ADOS, cervical cancer HDR-BT plans were used. As the delivery techniques of intensity-modulated BT (IMBT), two different RSBT techniques are used; singleshield RSBT (S-RSBT) 12,13 whose azimuthal emission angle is fixed during the delivery and dynamic-shield RSBT (D-RSBT) 22 whose azimuthal emission angle varies between 0 • and 180 • .…”

“…The radiation source is assumed to be partially shielded 50 kVp Xoft Axxent TM (Sunnyvale, CA, USA). To be consistent with previous work, it is assumed that the dose to the points blocked by the shield is 0, since the transmission rate from 50 kVp Xoft Axxent TM can be controlled to be less than 0.1% when using a 0.5 mm tungsten shield . Then, the radiation dose amount at the point rfalse→i, denoted by d i , can be quantified as a time‐weighted sum of all beamlets as follows:di=false∑j,bDifalse(j,bfalse)tj,b, where t j , b is the dwell time of beamlet D i ( j , b ).…”
