Comprometimento do interstício pulmonar em portadores de esclerose sistêmica progressiva: estudo de uma série de 58 casos

Abstract: OBJETIVO: Estimar a freqüência de doença intersticial pulmonar em um grupo de indivíduos com esclerose sistêmica progressiva e descrever suas características clínicas, funcionais e radiológicas. “…Com o acometimento de maior percentual (47,63%) encontrado em nosso estudo, constamos a presença de doença intersticial pulmonar em pacientes com esclerose sistêmica, estes dados corroboram os de Jezler et al [25], que relataram a presença de doença intersticial pulmonar definida por alterações na tomografia computadorizada de alta resolução. Isto ocorreu em 30 pacientes (51,7%), valor um pouco abaixo ao relatado na literatura, em população com tempo médio de diagnóstico de esclerose sistêmica de 4,1 anos, o que reflete uma incidência definitiva, pois a doença intersticial pulmonar aparece habitualmente nos cinco primeiros anos da doença [26].…”
