From the construction of “new socialist countryside” to the proposal of “full coverage of village planning,” rural construction has gradually been pushed to a climax. However, the current situation of rural landscape construction in China is not optimistic. On the one hand, the rural landscape deviates from its rural and regional characteristics due to deliberately seeking novelty and differences. Based on these two extreme development trends, this article uses virtual reality technology to construct a rural landscape virtual-roaming system, and randomly select 25 people, each group of 5 people, a total of 3 groups, enter the system in batches with a real reduction degree of 30%, 45%, 60%, 75%, and 80% for experimentation and score the system after the experience. The true reduction degree of the first group is 30%; the true reduction degree of the second group is 45%; the true reduction degree of the third group is 60%; the true reduction degree of the fourth group is 75%; and the true reduction degree of the fifth group is 80%. After analyzing the experimental data, it is concluded that when the true reduction degree of the system goes from low to high, people’s satisfaction is higher; when the true reduction degree is as high as 80%, the satisfaction is as high as 9 points; when the true reduction degree of the system goes from low to high, people’s sense of immersion is getting deeper and deeper. When the true reduction degree is 30%, the lowest score for immersion is 1 point; when the true reduction degree is 80%, the lowest score for immersion is 7.5 points; the true reduction of the system decreases from high to low; when it is high, people’s interaction degree becomes stronger and stronger. When the true reduction degree is 30%, the lowest interaction degree score is 2 points; when the true reduction degree is 80%, the lowest interaction degree score is 9 points; it can be seen from this that, with the increase in the degree of realism of the rural landscape virtual-roaming system, it is extremely difficult for people to find whether they are in the virtual or the reality, and their immersion in virtual reality is getting deeper and deeper. This test also confirmed the superiority of the virtual roaming system in rural landscapes, and the experience is extremely effective.

Experimental and Theoretical Prediction Model Research on Concrete Elastic Modulus Influenced by Aggregate Gradation and Porosity

In this research, we developed a four-phase model, which takes the aggregate gradation and porosity into account in the prediction of the elastic modulus of concrete, based on the micromechanical theories. The model has been verified with experimental results. First, using the Mori Tanaka and the differential self-consistent (DSC) methods, the pores in both the mortar and interfacial transition zone (ITZ) were homogenized. Then, the continuously graded aggregates were divided into finite aggregate size intervals. Further, using the generalized self-consistent model and multiphase composite model derived from the Mori Tanaka method, an aggregate gradation model for the prediction of the elastic modulus of concrete was developed. By simulating the pores in concrete with expanded polystyrene sphere (EPS) grains, the effect of overall porosity on the elastic modulus of concrete was investigated. The research results show that aggregate gradation and porosity have remarkable influence on the elastic modulus of concrete, and the proposed model is effective to estimate the elastic modulus of concrete, the deviation between the predicted elastic modulus and experimental elastic modulus is less than 8%. The elastic modulus decreases with increasing ITZ porosity. However, for ITZ porosity exceeding 40%, the decrease in the elastic modulus is large with increasing ITZ porosity. For a fixed overall porosity, the ITZ porosity owned more influences than the mortar porosity on the elastic modulus of concrete. Enhancing the ITZ elastic modulus and decreasing the ITZ thickness are efficient in increasing the elastic modulus of concrete.

High‐temperature effect on mechanical properties of fiber reinforced concretes including waste tire rubber

In this paper, concretes including three different fiber types (carbon steel fiber [CSF], forta ferro fiber [FFF], and polypropylene fiber [PPF]) with different percentages by volume (0.5%, 1%, and 1.5%) and crumb rubber (CR) as a replacement of fine aggregate by volume (5%, 10%, and 15%) are mechanically investigated. Compressive strength, flexural tensile strength, pull out strength, and elevated heat resistance tests are conducted 28 days after casting on the prepared concrete specimens. For the elevated heat resistance test, samples are exposed to 200, 400, and 600°C heat for 2 h and then compressive strength test is applied. According to the test results, fiber reinforcement limits compressive strength decrease and improves flexural tensile strength properties of the rubberized concretes. The positive effect of the fiber reinforcement is also observed on the samples conducted to pull out strength and elevated temperature resistance tests. CSF and PPF reinforced rubberized concretes perform better pull‐out resistance then the FFF reinforced rubberized concretes. Elevated heat resistance test is as expected since with elevation of the temperature strength of the concrete decreases. But according to the test results of the present study, the strength decrease seems to be limited with fiber reinforcement. As a result, incorporation of the fiber and CR could help to utilize more waste tire (CR) in concrete to produce sustainable eco‐friendly concrete.
