Abstract:Highlights1. Comprehensively evaluated the performance of a low-cost spring-assisted mechanism for the separation process.2. The Taguchi method was used to obtain the parameters that minimize the separation force and time.3. The spring-assisted mechanism demonstrated better manufacturing stability than the pulling-up or tilting mechanism. 4. A linear regression equation was established to predict the separation force of specific geometric shapes and areas to greatly reduce the calculation costs and time.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
