Comprehensive approach to evaluation of degradation in chosen parts of energy equipment

Abstract: Abstract. The individual construction elements are exposed to varying forms of loading, which correspond to the symptoms of degradation. In the analysis of degradation it is necessary to choose an approach that will lead to determine the actual causes of its origin. For determining the causes of degradation of objects currently wide variety of methods and equipment are available. It is necessary often to have in mind the economic viewpoint of the used method of analysis. It follows effort to create an approach… Show more

“…Internal stress can lead to the first visual sign of wheel rim wearing: finish layer peeling [26]. On the other hand, when the finish layer of the wheel rim is cracked, the metal construction begins to erode in some road conditions with a speed of 0.1 mm/year [27].…”

“…With this knowledge, agricultural producers are trying to find feed preparation equipment that is optimal in terms of quality and quantity, separately or as part of a line, depending on the volume of production [7]. These are mainly crushers or flatteners for producing dry concentrates, which are the most known and proven [8][9][10][11][12][13]. However, studies show that processing carried out using this type of equipment does not ensure full utilization of the energy value of the grain [11][12][13][14][15][16][17].…”

“…Another frequent method for checking mechanical properties, which is relatively inexpensive, is the hardness evaluation using portable devices or NDT DOI:10.22616/ERDev.2020.19.TF289 methods. However, technical practice often raises product quality problems where light and electron microscopy need to be involved in the inspection process [2][3][4][5]. Light microscopy is often represented in production plants as part of the output control, which cannot be said about electron microscopy.…”
