Abstract:The present work details the development of a compositional model to replicate the heavy hydrocarbon flow in porous reservoir systems under non-isothermal conditions. The mathematical model considers mass and energy conservation equations describing the reactive of natural variables distributed in a multiphase hydrocarbon system. Such natural variable based compositional models better suit fully implicit numerical schemes with inexpensive Jacobian matrix computations. Further, the model accommodates a switch o… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
