Compositional and structural studies of a MnZn ferrite under different processing conditions

Abstract: Among five processing conditions, a three stage vacuum sintering process produced the MnZn ferrite sample with the highest μi. Sintering in air produced samples with larger grain size and high μi values. The process of furnace-cooled overnight oxidized the Fe2+ content and allowed the precipitation of Fe2O3, which, in turn, resulted in sample of small grain size. All five processes produced spinel MnZn ferrite samples with the same unit cell size and the same oxygen parameter.
