The ingestive behavior allows to comprehend the animal integrally and its ability to adapt to several management conditions, in this case dual-purpose cattle of double milking in rotational grazing with star forage Cynodon plectostachius-Cynodon nlemfluensis was studied. The research was carried out, in the Casablanca farm, which is certified in good livestock practices GLP, geographic location: Bajo Retiro Village of La Plata municipality, Huila, Colombia; at a height above sea level of 1176.82 meters. For the behavior evaluation, the direct method of visual observation was used. In short periods of 5 minutes on the complete batch of the 28 animals at regular intervals recording the behavior of each individual at that time. This process was carried out from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. since in this period of time the cows go out for the milking process and again return to the paddock at 4:00 p.m., ending the daytime observation at 6:00 p.m., the data were recorded every five minutes, this allowed to determine the distribution of time the cattle use for rest, ruminating, stopping, pasturing, grooming and drinking water in this area of the country.
