Comportamentos em saúde e exames preventivos entre adultos filiados ou não a planos de saúde na Região Metropolitana de Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brasil, 2003-2010

Abstract: Foram examinados indicadores de comportamentos em saúde e uso de serviços preventivos em duas amostras probabilísticas de adultos, uma em 2003 (n = 13.757) e outra em 2010 (n = 12.983), cobertas ou não por planos privados de saúde, na Região Metropolitana de Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brasil. “…The WHO recommends a daily intake of 400 g/day of fruits and vegetables to prevent cardiovascular diseases, as well as a reduction in the consumption of fats, sugars, and salt 1,24 . As opposed to the indicators of fruit and vegetable intake, the consumption of fats and soda was lower in the population with health insurance, which can be explained by the higher purchasing power of this population to acquire healthy foods such as fruits and vegetables, in addition to their better knowledge about unhealthy foods 8,25 .
