In that case, statistically significant postoperative bladder atony and major constipation occurred in 20 and 27% of patients with colorectal resection, respectively, versus 0% for both complications in cases with disc excision of the endometriotic nodule [42 ]. Other complications for the procedure include anastomosis leakage, pelvic abscess, rectal bleeding, which may require blood transfusion, vaginal or uterine perforation, bladder or ureteral injury, small bowel injury, and motor nerve palsies.…”
