“…La implantación de tapones introducidos en el orificio superficial y fijados a los bordes del defecto fue ampliamente difundida por Rutkow y Robbins para la recidiva inguinal y crural 47,48 . Con la técnica original el tapón queda en el espacio preperitonenal, en vecindad con órganos intraabdominales a los que podría lesionar 49 .
