Complication rates and modes of short and medium-term failure in Motec total wrist arthroplasty: an international cohort study

Abstract: The aim of this study was to analyse the short- and medium-term complications of the Motec total wrist arthroplasty (TWA). Identifying exact modes of failure and their causes should allow surgeons to avoid or mitigate these risks in the future. Retrospective analysis of prospectively collected data from six hand surgeons at five international centres provided details of 171 Motec TWAs.
