This chapter is a critical synthesis of research related to the transformations that take place when digital technologies are incorporated into teaching and learning practices. In developing this synthesis, research from all levels of education was reviewed with a focus on the opportunities digital technologies offer for cognitive, pedagogical, affective and professional change. The chapter is structured in alignment with Pierce and Stacey's (2010) map of pedagogical opportunities in which three dimensions for educational transformation were identified: tasks, classroom, and subject. A discussion of future directions for research into technology enhanced mathematics education concludes the review.

This study aims to explain the digital quiz to review the learning material. Its focus is to use digital media to support the learning process (reviewing material). Material Development is a subject that is reviewed by the student and the review done through Quizalize. A digital quiz that is so user-friendly and quite interesting. The participants of this research are sixteen students of English Education Department, from the University of Technology Yogyakarta; 4 males and 11 females. Qualitative data are obtained from the quiz that has been completed by the students. The result of this study shows that the display of the quiz is interesting. Quizalize provides analysis for each question. In addition, Quizalize also shows the result for each student, grouped students into categories based on their score. Quizalize accommodates students' needs in using technology. The researchers recommend Quizalize as a digital quiz that can be used by the teacher to review the material.

This final chapter overviews the 12 contributions to the monograph, organising this along the lines of inquiry suggested by Stillman. Contributors share understanding of mathematical modelling as solving real-world problems. The value and purposes of implementing modelling varies, in part due to local curricula. Theoretical underpinnings of the research include prescriptive modelling, modelling cycles, and modelling competencies. The challenges of engaging in modelling see empirical foci on modellers, teachers, and tasks whilst acknowledging interactions between these. Other important areas of the field, where researchers need to focus in the future include research with experienced student modellers, research on experienced teachers of modelling, and successful mathematisation by modellers. Defining the bounds of research reported in this monograph is important. This includes the shared understanding by authors as to what mathematical modelling is. Modelling occurs when teachers, students, mathematicians, and others attempt to describe some aspect of the real-world in mathematical terms in order to understand something better or take or recommend actions (e.g. Blum 2015; Blum et al. 2007).
