Complex Mitogenomic Rearrangements within the Pectinidae (Mollusca: Bivalvia)

Abstract: BackgroundScallops (Bivalvia: Pectinidae) present extraordinary variance in both mitochondrial genome size, structure and content, even when compared to the extreme diversity documented within Mollusca and Bivalvia.
